Choosing a bank for a company in the USA

Remote account opening, currencies, deposits, and documents required for your company’s bank account.

Before opening the account

EIN required

Your company’s EIN number must be issued in order to open a bank account. We of course provide it!

Our support

For online banks, our assistance is limited to providing you with a link to complete the account opening form. For traditional banks, depending on the bank, our assistance consists of presenting your application to the bank and/or accompanying you there.

The documents required to open a bank account

Always in demand

All banks will request:

  • Company documents, including its EIN
  • The passports of the Manager and the company's partner
  • The company's website describing its business activity
Sometimes requested

The bank may sometimes request:

  • Proof of address dated within the last 2 months for the company's Manager and partner
  • Lease agreement for the company's registered office (we provide it)
  • Business plan

What to know before opening

What banks usually don’t ask for

Banks do not usually require you to provide a business plan, bank statements, a bank reference letter, proof of business activity, a CV, etc.

Important: banks will often check your website to understand your business. We therefore recommend having an up-to-date website that clearly presents your business.

Our support and your KYC

Our assistance service for opening a bank account in the USA is available only to companies that we have incorporated. We systematically refuse clients who have incorporated a company through another agent.

For our Know Your Customer (KYC) process, we will ask about the activity of your future company, the profile of your customers and suppliers, and your professional experience. This information is for internal use by our company only and is intended to protect us and our clients.
