In a few months, you will set up your
company in Dubai. This will allow you to benefit from the undeniable tax advantages of the United Arab Emirates, enabling you to develop your business under optimal conditions.
But before starting the initial procedures, it is essential to find out about the various steps to follow to
set up your business in Dubai. Indeed, as in France, there is a procedure to follow to
register your company. Naturally, this procedure is not the same. It is necessary to follow it to the letter in order to comply with the regulations in force in the United Arab Emirates: otherwise, you risk, at best, wasting time and, at worst, facing financial penalties.
In this article, we will review
the main steps involved in setting up your company in Dubai.
Defining your business project in the United Arab Emirates
Before even starting any procedures related to
setting up a business in the United Arab Emirates, it is important to clearly define the project:
- What type of activity would you like to launch in Dubai?
- Are you planning to have offices there?
- Would you like to hire staff?
- Will this staff come from your country or from the United Arab Emirates?
The answers to these questions are absolutely essential, because they will help you decide on a status for
your company in Dubai: a free zone or Mainland?
Next, you will obviously need to conduct a competitive benchmark and prepare a business plan. These documents will be useful during several stages of the company registration process and when opening a bank account. In addition, they are a guarantee of success for your business: without these documents, you will not know where you are going, and that is truly very risky when deciding to launch a new company, especially abroad.
Registering the company in Dubai
You will need to submit a complete application to the Dubai registration office. The supporting documents required are not necessarily the same for every business project. That is why we recommend working with a specialist firm such as ours throughout all the stages of the registration process. Depending on your project, we can tell you which supporting documents to provide. We can also draft and translate the documents required for
registering the company in Dubai.
To help you, we have created packages for setting up and renewing your company in Dubai. These include, in particular:
- Drafting the Memorandum and Articles of Association (the company’s articles of association)
- Issuing the certificate of incorporation
- Sending the company stamp and original documents by express courier worldwide once registration has been completed
Opening a bank account
You will need a
business bank account if you decide to
launch a company in Dubai. You can submit your application to the bank of your choice, but please note that we are accustomed to working with several highly reputable banks in the United Arab Emirates and can provide you with the best advice. Depending on your profile and that of your future company, it may sometimes be preferable to approach one banking institution rather than another.
We will arrange an appointment with the selected bank for you. You will then need to travel to attend this appointment, which we will accompany you to. Indeed, it is not possible to open a bank account remotely. On the day, you will need to provide a certain number of supporting documents: we will check together that everything is valid before the appointment.
If everything is in order, your business bank account should be opened as quickly as possible.
Good to know: on average, issuing the license and opening the bank account take 3 weeks from receipt of the complete application at our offices in Dubai. Naturally, if you decide to
set up your business without the help of a firm such as ours, it may take a little longer.
